The short version
Caber Clock has no account, no sign-in, and no server of its own. Every games you enter, every throw you record and every photo you attach is stored only in the app's local storage on your device. We — the developer — never receive it, see it, or have any way to access it. There is no analytics software, no advertising software and no tracking of any kind built into this app.
What the app stores, and where
All of the following is saved on your device only, in the app's local database and settings storage. None of it is transmitted anywhere:
- Your athlete name, class, home region and unit preference
- The games you add to your calendar, and their entry details
- Your implement weights and kit list
- Every throw, caber toss, and bar-clearance you record on a games card
- Photos you choose to attach to a games card
- Your chosen cover theme, and your haptics and sound preferences
Deleting the app, or using Settings → Erase every card, permanently removes this data from your device. We have no copy to delete, because we never had one.
Camera and photo library
On-device only
Caber Clock asks for camera or photo library access only when you choose to attach a picture — for example, a photo of your official scorecard — to a games card. The image is copied into the app's own local storage. It is never uploaded, never shared with us, and never leaves your device unless you personally use the system share sheet to send it somewhere yourself.
Notifications
If you switch on a reminder for a games, Caber Clock schedules a local notification directly on your device using Apple's notification framework. No notification content or schedule is sent to any server; it is handled entirely by iOS on your phone.
The in-app browser
Rules pages from governing bodies and games websites you add yourself open inside the app's built-in browser, so you never have to leave Caber Clock. These are ordinary web pages operated by other organisations (such as Wikipedia or a games committee), and their own privacy policies apply once you're viewing their content. Caber Clock does not track your browsing there, and does not use this browser for sign-up or log-in of any kind.
Sharing your own data
Caber Clock can generate a PDF season sheet or a card image for you to share. This only happens when you tap Share, and only sends data to the destination you personally choose through the system share sheet (Messages, Mail, saving to Files, and so on). We are not a party to that transfer.
Data we collect
None. We do not operate a server, a database, an analytics dashboard or an advertising account connected to this app. There is nothing for us to collect, store, sell or lose, because the app was built not to send anything home in the first place.
Third parties
Caber Clock does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising or data-broker software. The only outside content it displays is the web pages you open yourself in the in-app browser, described above.
Children's privacy
Caber Clock is a general-audience utility that collects no personal data from anyone, including children. It is not directed at children and contains no chat, social or advertising features.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for instance, if a future version of the app adds a feature that changes what's stored — we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
